FUT vs FUE: Which is Better?
  • Apr 01, 2019

The terms FUT and FUE would have become common for you, if you are looking out for a hair transplantation. With so many hair transplant surgeons in Delhi telling you to choose either one of them, it can be quite confusing. The fact that it is quite an important decision to make is yet another factor that makes one think. So what is the difference between the two?

Follicular Unit Extraction(FUE)

In an FUE, each follicular unit is individually taken from the scalp and transplanted. In this there is no tissue removed. The follicles are removed randomly so that there is no density difference in donor’s hair as well.

Ø  Pain

Since there are no stiches required, the procedures of FUE are done faster and because of which the healing process is much faster. The post procedure comfort is almost null.

Ø  Scars

Since it involves removing hair individually from scalp, there is no scars left behind. However, there will be puncture marks that heals by themselves within a week from the process.

Ø  Cost

Since the process takes more time by removing each follicle, the procedure is costlier than FUT but is not such a high difference.

The clinics that offer the Best hair transplant in Delhi NCR has experienced surgeons who does FUE providing the best results.

Follicular Unit Transplantation

In FUT, a small strip of tissue is removed from the back of the donor’s head from which the hair follicles are extracted. FUT is preferred for those who have advanced hair loss.

Ø  Pain

Some amount of discomfort and swelling might be there which goes down in time with the necessary medications.

Ø  Scar

Since the tissue is removed from particular area, a linear scar is formed at the back. However, it fades over time.

Ø  Cost

FUT is not as expensive when compared to FUE.
